An antique Persian Mahal carpet. The rust field displays two styles of fillers: one with a multi-posy flower and one more biaxially symmetric. The effect is generally one of a subtle foliate lattice. The pale blue-grey border features small hexagons with six “legs” on this very large Sultanabad district rustic carpet.
